OCT: Sat. March 19, Maury Rockbridge Baths

I plan to paddle the Maury from Rockbridge Baths to Copper Road.

Meet in front of the Rockbridge Baths Post Office building at 11:00 a.m., but do not park in the Post Office parking spots.

This is a Novice-Intermediate trip with an AW rating of II (III).

The water is still cold, so dress appropriately.

Be prepared to wear a mask on the shuttle drive.

I will update later in the week based on the weather conditions.

Got a little bump from last nights rain. Should hold by Saturday, done it lower. Might get some help from some more rain Fri. I plan to come and might bring a friend.

The Maury is at 2.35 & 425 CFS, which is a good level. I’ve run it at 2.04. It’s dropping slowly.

The weather forecast is for cloudy to partly cloudy and 70’s by mid-trip with maybe a few showers before we start. I was hoping for a few in early morning to bump the level up, but it should still be a good level.

See everyone at the Rockbridge Baths P.O. at 11 a.m.
