Recommendation for class 2/3 practice near to Nelson Co?

I am looking for somewhere to do some brush up practice on class 2+ to 3 river, preferably not too far from Nelson Co. Seems like most flows are too low right now except New River Gorge in WV.

Also might need someone to paddle with to help with safety/shuttle.

I am free almost anytime!

Lower James in Richmond. Show up at 14th Street and you should be able to find a shuttle or just bring a bicycle, shuttle is relatively flat and only takes 20 minutes
