Your van can't do the takeout at river level, but there is plenty of parking at the top of the hill. If the river isn't up too far there is plenty of space at the gravel bar to mill around. If there was a way to transfer you from river to manual chair to 4wd vehicle then that could work to get you at least to the top of the hill.
My car doesn't do that hill, or I'd say come along with me.

from river takeout to parking is about 175 yards.
Here is a link to a google map of the takeout. It also has directions from put-in to take-out. You'll have to zoom in a little to see the takeout detail.

Thursday afternoon update. I've had about 12 people express interest in tomorrow's Cowpasture trip.
I plan to be at the put in by 11am tomorrow as originally planned, however the weather forecast seems to have take a nose dive compared to earlier in the week.
The latest forecast I've seen is for rain, with storms and high winds after 10am. I'm a gamer for some rain, but don't like to play in thunder/lighting and high winds. I have a hard enough time trying to keep the canoe upright without wind trying to blow me over!
Anyway, the decision for me to paddle may be a game time decision at the put in tomorrow.
