Upper New 9/16/17 Gauley Fest

Jason J. and I will be coordinating the trip on the Upper New for the Saturday of Gauley Fest. This is a great trip for families and those not ready for the bigger water in the Lower Gorge. We will be meeting at 9:30am at Arrowhead Bike Farm in Fayetteville. We will also be part of the epic Super Shuttle, so be ready to be flexible with time and vehicles. My wife and I are planning on doing the upper new on Saturday and can help with the super shuttle.

If part of the super shuttle, I'm guessing you are doing the Surprise section?

Yes, we will be doing the Surprise section from Thurmond to Cunard.

I will be enjoying the Saturday trip on the Upper New River Gorge. Astrid Burk will also be attending.

Is there a Sunday run on the UPPER New River planned for Sunday?

Lee and I will be there Fri nite - Lee will be doing the NRG, I will see what works for me - no vehicle (riding with Lee).

Thank you to everyone who has let me know they're coming! It's looking like we'll have a nice sized group and enough vehicles for the super shuttle. Hooray!

I will be driving up Saturday morning and should arrive at Arrowhead no later than 8:30am, though I am aiming for 8am.
