Could one of you tell me the difficulty of this section at current river level? I am a beginner who just completed Chesterfield County''s 2 day Intro to Whitewater as well as a private 3 hour white water with RVA Paddlesports. Both above were upper James. Lower section may not be right for me yet but thought I would ask. Need all the river time I can get. Thanks.

At this level, the lower section is less pushy than at higher levels, but is very technical -- i.e., harder to avoid hitting rocks.

Thanks Jenny. I will pass on this one and likely connect up in a couple weeks after I have done a few more things with this.
