Summer Rendezvous Lower Yough Paddle, July 22

Update still 2 passes left for the 10:00 - and I just picked up 3 passes for the 11:00- looking forward to paddling with the group if possible. Will be three kayakers all first timers other than I ran the loop last summer - Me, Devan and Carter. Only thing that could change is if the cheat canyon is running we will consider running it instead and could take a couple of folks if interested on Saturday.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
Bill, I have room on the raft for you on Sunday.

Well crap.. Just now able to logged back into coastals due to some issue... I didn't see till now that no passes are not available thru club this year. So I checked the Park site, everything is sold out for Sat. Does anyone have any extra passes for the weekend?
Please let me know asap, so I'd not pack up for no reason!

9:00 and 12:00 slots are still available but I don't know how that might work out with group logistics. I suppose one could put on just before ten and then find a fun place to hang out until the eleven o'clockers catch up?Turbo_D wrote:Well crap.. I'm going to guess that the river will be around three to three-and-a-half feet by the time we get there. Two feet is ordinary. I think all of the usual lines work but am asking around. Does anyone on this board happen to know?
I was there once, years ago, in a four-person shredder with not much horsepower and we did fine at four feet. We had a couple of yakkers along who intentionally threw themselves into every hole they could find and they never got worked.

I think we can work it out with the Ranger. It hasn't been a problem before.
They're nice people and if you are nice to them......
I've got the prediction as being 2.75' for Saturday at 10am.
That should pad things out nicely and might even open up the Right Line
at Dimple for those that have a hankerin.
See you all there at the Grassy Knoll 10am, ready to shuttle.

passes
I have at least one extra pass for both days. 11am.

mkeverline - if those passes of yours are still available, I'm interested.
Being the "Grand Exalted Imperial Omnipotent Trip Coordinator" and an otherwise all round nice guy, I'm OK with that.
