I will be Coordinating the Lower Yough Trip (Intermediate), July 22, for the Coastals Summer Rendezvous 2017. Launch time of 10am.
There's a better than good chance we'll do this again on Sunday.
As in past years, First Timers are welcome, but let us know who you are so we can make sure we have support for you.
Let me know if you're coming and we will see what passes we need. Right now there are plenty.
I will be taking a raft down again this year. Please let me know if you're interested. I would need 2 to 3 paddlers for each day to make that happen.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
Hey Wade
is there room in the raft? Since there is no coordinator for any beginner level trips (and I don't know any of the water up there to do it myself) I'm finding myself low on reasons to drive 5 hours just for a club business meeting.

To borrow from naturalist John Muir, The river is calling and I must go.
Hi, Bill,
FYI that the Middle Yough is a beginner float that I once took a complete novice on in a rental fun-yak, so it might be something you or someone could actually "coordinate" a trip on, by just figuring out some shuttle logistics (meaning it'd be ok that you didn't know the river in advance).
Again, just thought I'd share in hopes someone might coordinate a beginner's trip.

Thanks Wade for coordinating the Lower. I would like to run it again in my IK IF you think we'll have enough support. I will be happy to go in the raft if you think that would be easier.
Like Bill, I'd like to paddle a Class II the other day. Thanks Alicia for the info on the Middle. I did it once or twice, but don't remember it enough to coordinate. I could make it happen if enough people are interested.
Bill sorry it has taken so long to respond to you but we are in Colorado . If you would like to have a spot on the raft on Sunday it is yours.
Thank you from Sejal and I , Bill for coordinating the Middle Yough Saturday
Terri. There will be more support on Sunday so if you would like to IK we can make that happen.
Dave Myers Saturday's raft is full but Sundays has 1 open spot. If Jennifer would like it is hers

Wade, Brad & I are planning to paddle on Saturday on the Lower in my Shredder. I've paddled it many times but this will be first time for Brad. Looking forward to it seeing everyone. SOTR ~Hobby
I plan to join this trip on both days. At the moment the river is pretty beefy but is dropping fast to more normal levels and scant rain is predicted.
Are your passes still available? If so, please put me down for two hardboats each day. Alicia will likely run the upper Yough on Saturday but I'd like to buy a pass for her in case the upper is too high.
I would happily guide a raft either or both days -- but I don't own a raft.
At present there are only seven left for 10:00 on Saturday. I've been on trips where we had part of the group put in, say, at 10:55 and part put in, say, at 11:05 and it worked out.
Yes, all kayakers/canoeist need to get pass's online for 10am or 11am,
If the former are sold out. Use Ken's link above.
Rafters can get them at the gate.
Sunday we're shooting for 11am. So pass' for that time are needed.
