Good weather, good company, a little surfing, and lots of smiles! 16 paddlers put on the Upper James at a little over 5' - 15 K1's (one of them a racing boat!) and 1 IK . 2 first-timers, I think. Thank you to Jon Guy Owens for bringing a group of ladies from the Hollins Racing Club. Also, a thank you to Marv and Amy Sowers and Sejal Kinker for helping out.
At Reedy we adjusted our compliment of boaters - saying adios to some and adding others to put on 8 craft for the Lower run. Wade Kinker in his shreadder provided photo documentation while Sejal styled it in her new (to her) race boat. The rest of us just had a darn good time!
Hope to see you all on the river soon!!

Great job Dee!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
