Thank You

Post by Dave »

Thanks to all that came out! Saturday we had 9 kayaks, 1 C-1, 4 R-2s (counting Stanley) and 5 OC-1s Sunday was almost as populous with 21 people but I didn't commit the boat breakdown to memory. As usual I had a few of Bill's things with me on the trip.

There were more swims than I've seen in a number of years but no injuries other than a scratched nose & some bruised pride.

A special thank you to those that were willing to take drivers to the put-in and thanks to Wade for taking pictures.

Thanks Dave and shuttlers, sure was a good time. Beautiful weather, fun water, great group of friends to share with. Cheers.

Yough trip

Post by open boater »

This has always been one of my favorite trips. I was lucky to have joined Bill Gordon a few times before he gave up leading the trip. Many thanks to Dave for keeping the tradition alive and to all 27 or so folks who made the drive. Perhaps the nicest weekend of weather I have ever experienced at the Yough in October, sunny & 70 degrees. Special thanks to Mike & Mike without who's help I would have been ....shut out! literally! Can't wait to go again next October.
