OCT - New River Gorge, 8/20

Post by billh1970 »

The trip is officially for Saturday only, but there is a possibility I will stay until Sunday.

Tentative plan is to meet at the NPS Visitor's Center at noon. So far have heard from five other paddlers likely to come.

Gromit and I will be there both Saturday and Sunday. Camping at Ray's on Saturday night.

There's been mention of a FFV campsite in an email thread that hasn't made it to this message board. In spite of that, I believe Gromit and I will still camp at Ray's. We will drive out Saturday morning in time to pitch a tent, then head for the visitors center to meet the rest of the group. See yous there.

Hopefully I and anyone else interested can find the 'campsite' using the map. I've already heard a jesting complaint the 'campsite' doesn't have a refrigerator. It now has freshly mowed grass courtesy of the early arrivals.
