OCT Bottom Tye, Saturday April 5
Let's meet at Tye River Depot on this map http://g.co/maps/gza5h at 10:30 to set shuttle.
feel free to contact me if you need further directions.
We are going to have plenty of water! This will not be a low water run ... in fact it may be the highest i've ever run it. We'll see what happens.
We’ll take out at Ruckers Run.
You can check this website for info too http://www.nelsoncountyva.org/NelDRace/
Please contact me to let me know you're going.

Tye River Sat
Shorn and I would also like to paddle the Tye this Sat.
The Tye is dropping, but this will probably be the highest level we have paddled lower Tye.
We're staying at James River St Park this weekend.
We'd also like to paddle Sunday, but looks like the James may be too high.

Rucker Run
We took out at Rucker Run a few weeks back with no issues. I know for most paddlers this is common sense.....but it is important to stay as close to the edge and out of the field as possible. As stated previously.....we believe the issue is not paddlers taking out but people hanging out there and partying. We picked up 7-8 beer bottles right next to where the field is roped off at the road. This of course (hopefully) earns good river karma but just maybe local landowners might see and realize that (most) paddlers are not the problem.
