canoe outfitter and trips for 11/29 near Spotsylvania?

Post by Sean Hennessy »

Hi folks,
My family and I will be in Spotsylvania visiting family for Thanksgiving. We're hoping (if the weather's good on Friday 11/29) to do a canoe trip (easy moving water) for 3-4 hours. Four adults + 4 kids age 11-16. Have one canoe; will need 2 more or one more plus some kayaks, plus paddles and PFDs. The outfitters that I've checked (e.g., Clore Bros) are closed for the season. Any suggestions for outfitters and river sections? Best,

http://playva.com/ try them. Right on the river in downtown Fredericksburg.

Thanks. Their phone recording said that their rental activities are over until spring.
