A few of us are meeting for a lower run or two @ 5:30. With the level approaching 11ft, an acceptable river resume and sufficient experience is required to join us. Since I don't believe we've met and I am unaware of your prior boating experience, shoot me an email via the email link below and let me know what rivers you have paddled, at what levels, how many times out of ten you reliably hit a combat roll in class IV whitewater, do you have the required expert/high water permit from the City, and the highest level you've run the lower James to date. Thanks.
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke
