Glad everyone enjoyed the photos. I am a catman myself. I will move back to Idaho in a couple of years. I am going to get some paddling skills the next 2 years and then tackle the Lochsa when I move back there.

Sorry, and I'm not singling you out but this is a pet peeve of mine. Image
Those are catarafts, not Shredders. The pic of the two guys going backwards is a shredder. You can get an oar rig frame for a Shredder but I didn't see any in the pics so I'm assuming you were referring to the Catsrafts
Please forgive poor old Tolyho. He was just taking a light hearted poke at my"oar rig shredder" prowness.
I paddle a Hyside Paddlecat (Shredder wantabee) with an oar rig. He had the good fortune to see my
"empty oar rig trick" in Koontz Flume and he still marvels at it to this day. :D
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

I really didn't want to say anything to distract from your excellent thread but I've seen others use the term loosely on other makes of boats.

Tom Love had issues with an outfitter in Ohiopyle about ten years ago. The Shredder is a popular boat to rent there. This outfitter was using DIB boats but using the name "shredder" to advertise them. They didn't want to spend the extra cash on a better boat(shredder) but they sure cashed in on the name.

Carry on!
