OCT>> Ocoee+Nantahala+GAF 10/29-30

Post by Dave K »

Despite my job's best efforts to make me cancel the trip, I have purchased my Halloween attire so it's still on.

The plan is to camp at Smokey Mountain Meadows:

http://smmcamp.tripod.com/

Saturday, head to GAF in the am then to the Ocoee to be at the Ocoee putin at noon. The CCC is doing a copycat trip and I'm in good with their trip leader so, hopefully, we'll be able to bum a shuttle off of them and not worry about it (*).

Sunday, we'll be doing the Nantahala. Meeting at Ferebee at 10:30. If the prior day's shuttle tactics work, then we will use them again on Sunday. If not, then we'll set our own.

(*)Aw, c'mon, Jill! You know I'm just kidding!!

 Think we should all dress up as icicles because it's going to be a wee bit chilly. Is Halloween attire required for on and off the water? Does that include dogs as well? Dave I didn?t realize you had a club trip, Shweet! :P

Costumes are encouraged but not required for all attendees.

HECK YES I have a trip! I'm trying really hard to get attendance up, too because the CCC trip leader has really been laying the smack down about how she has a bunch of friends that are all going on her trip.

Here's a picture of Thomas modeling for that costume:

And I'm not so successful looking like a proud, black nubian woman:

Maybe it's the glasses.
