Attention: Lower Gauley Vets
We have had extra request from First Timers for the trip this weekend (Oct 8-9) and not enough vets to help get them down. Please help a
First Timer out. :D
Let me know as soon as you can, the weekend will be here soon.
Thanks,
Wade
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

Plans for Saturdays Trip on the Lower Gauley 10/8.
If you will be at the campground, we will load and leave Summersville Lake Retreat at 11am, headed for the Takeout at Swiss. Should be there by 11:30am. Those who want to meet there should be ready to load and leave by 11:45am. We should be able to shuttle from there in 2 trucks. With luck, no trucks will be left at the Putin to go back for. If you are not at the appointed places on time and ready, you may be the guy needing a ride back to get your transportation. Don't be that guy!
We will put in at Woods Ferry.

Sejal and I are planning on eating breakfast in camp and dinner out.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Happy daze,
Wade

I should be there. It looks like they are releasing an extra 400 cfs on top of the regular release this weekend, so it should be somewhat bigger than normal. bn

The Smith's game plan is to play a little hooky on Friday and drive up to the area during the daylight hours. We are staying at the Best Western, Summersville. We plan to have dinner at Pies and Pints in Fayetteville on Friday evening and catch up with everyone at the Campsite on Saturday Morning. If anyone is looking for a ride Friday and/or are going to be up that way for dinner on Friday evening - hit me up.
