Just a heads up...

Planning breakfast at camp and dinner out. We will be arriving Sat morning. I called to make reservation but on weekends there is a 2 night minimum as seeing as we only need one night I opted out. I was told there is plenty of availability so we should be fine to do a walk up and just pay for one night, or 2 if needed. Hope this makes sense
. Lemme know if not!
Please forgive the tone of that original post and please note that I really want to go boating on the Lower Gauley this weekend. If you have the same hankerin', then come on! You're very welcome. We'll make it work.Wallace wrote:John Van Luik is out. Dave Stockdill and SportsKat are maybes. Mangles, Ken and Alicia, Scooter and Arco want to go for sure. Sganarelle wants to do the Gorge on Sunday for his PFD. I'm having trouble keeping up with all this.
Here's the deal:
I'm gonna be at the Swiss takeout for the Lower Gauley on Saturday 10/1 at 1130. I'm going to set shuttle to Woods Ferry and try to put on the Lower Gauley at 1:30.
If you want to be on this trip, please do two things for me. First POST A REPLY TO THIS THREAD. So I don't have to jump between the board, text messages and emails to figure out who's coming. Second, BE AT SWISS AT 1130 ON SATURDAY. So we can quickly come up with a shuttle plan.
We can work out Sunday's options over dinner Saturday night.
LET'S GO BOATING!!!!

As hard headed as I am, this is looking pretty ominous. Let me know what you think. We can go ahead and pray the weatherman is wrong, we can wait until Sunday when it's supposed to be warmer or we can stay home and paddle something closer to home. Chime in, please.

Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.

Wallace, that's the forecast for Fayetteville - I'm sure it'll be MUCH warmer near Summersville! But just in case it's not, Super 8 is going to leave the light on for us, so we don't break our rule. (ie. no camping if the air temp is less than our ages)
Just think how this trip will prime us for fall boating (yeah, that's what I'm telling myself!).
Thanks for inspiring the trip.
