OCT South Anna, Sat, March 19

Post by martha james »

It looks like the South Anna should be a good level on Sat. Meet at the put-in on Rt 33 at 10:30. We'll unload and run shuttle. Please let me know if you're coming.

Great. We have 5 so far. Anyone else? I checked the gauge on the bridge today & it was 1 1/2 ft. I predict it might be 1/2 on Sat. Not bad.

Haven't paddled it before but have been wanting to. What class are the rapids at this level?

When the river gets to around 7 ft, I'd call it a class III run.

Thanks. I'll try to catch it later. Does it have quite allot of flatwater at that level?
