Dutch Ovens
If anyone is interested in getting a lesson in Dutch Oven cooking, Mark would LOVE to have some help - not to mention that he's not supposed to be lifting much right now. We've got the stuff and a wide variety of dishes to prepare, so you will get some experience in most of the types.
Also, if anyone has a Dutch Oven that we can use, we'd love to have it. We will return it to you clean and oiled. HOWEVER, please make sure that they start out that way. We simply don't have the time for a deep intensive cleaning and seasoning on Saturday AM in addition to everything else.
Kitchen Help
As Ginny indicated, help will be appreciated in the kitchen. Please show up about 9:30 - 10 am and we will get kicking on that.
Pig Help
If you want to help out with handling the pig and will be in the area on Friday night, stop by the Center. Tom usually starts the pig somewhere around 11 pm - midnight, so if you get there at 9 pm, we are likely snoozing in our trucks. Let us know that you are here (sign on the door of Tom's camper will do) and what vehicle you are in and we will wake you up in time to help load the hog. Bring your own beverage and hats/gloves/mittens to keep your ears/hands warm.
And as usual, we will be looking for hands to help pick the pig about 4 pm.
If you are interested in any of the options above, please drop me a response or send me a message and we will coordinate our plans.
