10 boat hole upper james

Let us know how it went! Swim confessions and carnage reports are welcome, but it's not fair to tell on your buddies!

10 boat hole upper james

Post by graystroke »

the level last night was tween 9.4 and 9.5 on the westham gauge, use this as a reference, 10 boat hole/wave was a hoot. i think we had 7 boats a surfin' simultaneously, well surfin', spinnin' and crashing into each other.
was a good time.

Agreed. That was awesome.

Long surfs at 10 boat, easy eddy service (a little harder to get back on at higher levels).

Two boats fit on a wave at the top of the rapids at river right, but it had to be caught on the fly. The wave lower down with a very nice eddy was fast at this level and just a little tricky to catch in a short boat, but once on there...
