New Year's on the Rappahannock 2009

The local "river rats" met for an "unofficial" New Year's Day gathering to paddle downstream from the I-95 bridge to the Falmouth Bridge. Despite outdoor temps at freezing, seven boaters dressed in dry suits and had "fun" taking their time manuevering around in rapids. We had a great day on the Rappahannock in spite of the cold. Video

Good to see that you got out on New Year's Gretchen. I wondered whether you'd be coming to the Chilly Chili on the James, but now I know where you were.
