Mexico Week of Rivers

Let us know how it went! Swim confessions and carnage reports are welcome, but it's not fair to tell on your buddies!

Mexico Week of Rivers

Post by SwmmrGreg »

The rumors are true; a group of Coastals did spend a little over a week in late March chasing solid class III - IV runs in Mexico. Upon arrival Sat afternoon we were greeted by our guides from Esprit at the Veracruz airport and our adventure began. All transportation, food, and lodging was provided by our guides. It made for quite the luxurious week. Sunday thru Saturday found us on different rivers almost every day. The scenery and the drops were well worth the trip and our river adventure ended with 30 ft waterfalls and a run that finished in the Gulf of Mexico.
Some stats:
5 different rivers run
4 broken paddles
2 cracked helmets
2 cracked boats
1 trip to the hospital

Can't wait for the next one,
Greg Boudreau
Have you swam with your kayak lately?
