OCT Lower James skills paddle 08/16/2012
Great job the coordinating last evening John.
I think a great time was had by all.
I really appreciate the Hand of Diamond at the bottom of Hollywood.
Thank you Mango for being there to “save” me.
Tom, thanks for the tips. You make it look easy and make that canoe dance.
I hope to do that some day.
Thank you to Glen and Brian for the encouragement,
Greg and Jamie the confidence and
thank you all for the support and encouragement.
Trying a new craft can be unnerving but having your
fellow paddlers there to support you as you struggle
to succeed.

Thanks for all the great volunteers and participants that made this trip easy on me! I saw tested nerves, upside down boats, and lots of smiles on the river. The takeout was equally full of smiles and high-fives! Great job everyone, I'm looking forward to the next time.
My final count was 15 official volunteers and 8 official participants.

Thanks to Jon for Coordinating, you made it happen.
Thanks to all that came out to help and participate!
A lot of hard work was done by all on the river. Overtime into the dark.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
