Summer Gathering OCT New River Gorge (Cunard to Fayette Station) July 18 & 19
Sejal and I are coordinating the Lower NRG trip. Let us know if you're coming.

The NRG is a high Intermediate/Advanced Trip. Level right now is -0.37 ft but that can change in 2 weeks. AW calls it a III+ at this level.

We will be staying there.
If you are off campus it is hard to keep you in the loop as plans can change, please be at the meeting place on time.
Saturday: Meet at the picnic tables behind the office at 10am, we will organize from there.
Sunday: Same but at 9am.
If there is interest in a Friday paddle, please post, I’m not sure that we can make it, so you might be organizing that yourselves.

I stole this from New River Rendezvous post…..but I think it might have been put there because of me.
GPS user note, GPS directions will NOT take you to the put ins or take outs. Please look at a map and/or follow people who know the way. GPS may or may not accurately take you to the campground. I recommend at least glancing at a map or two before you head out.

I plan to be there. Staying elsewhere Saturday night, but will be at Ray's by 10am.

I plan to be there for lower NRG Saturday only. I am staying off campus over the weekend with my wife and kids. Not sure about cell reception there, but will be at Ray’s by 10a.

I'll be there Saturday but not Sunday, and would love to boat Friday too. Staying at Ray's.

I'll be taking my family on the easier trip on Saturday, but would like to join you on Sunday.

George, Tom, sregan99 (glad to have you back fellow rower) and Walter got y'all on the list.

We hope that folks will join us for the potluck meal after paddling.

It will start at 5 P.M. at Ray’s Campground.

Lee won't be there, so people will need to bring their own plates, cups, utensils, and a serving spoon if they have food to share.

Running the Lower NRG or the Dries on Saturday and Lower NRG on Sunday.
That is our plan as of 07/16/2026 at 7:10pm. Stay tuned.

My son, Oliver, and I would like to join the paddling this weekend. We'll plan to be at the picnic tables (I assume at Ray's Campground) by 10am on Saturday. Looking forward to it!
