OCT: Sat, June 13, James River in Richmond, Pride Paddle with James River Women
In celebration of Pride month, we will join with James River Women for this week's official club trip. All are welcome! The Pride Paddle will take place on the James from Pony Pasture put in to 14th St take out, with the option to take out at Reedy Creek. Rapids from Pony Pasture to Reedy Creek (~ 4 miles) are class II. From Reedy Creek to 14th St (~ 2 miles), rapids are class III-III+ (at predicted level). Let me know if you want to participate in this trip AND which section(s) you want to paddle. Due to the complicated shuttle, we request that members of Coastals who want to participate in this JRW/Coastals joint trip contact me BY MIDNIGHT ON THURS JUNE 11. If you want to paddle only the upper section (class II rapids), meet at Reedy Creek at 10 a.m. If you want to paddle both sections, meet at 10 a.m. at 14th St take-out. Please be prompt.
