The latest report is direct road access to the Tellico will not happen until June, so I'm cancelling the trip given the uncertainty and not having reliable water levels at that time of the year.

In the past, the Tellico River has been the destination for this trip, but construction is closing the river and the adjacent road until the end of April.
For Easter, my plan is to paddle the Upper Nantahala releases on Saturday April 19 and Sunday April 20. Friday April 18 will be my travel day and paddling on the Nolichucky River if a reasonable put in is available. The backup location for Friday is likely to be the standard lower Nantahala River section. I'm not planning a Thursday paddle now, despite the message title implying a Thursday paddle.
Anticipating the Tellico will open by the end of April, I'm headed there Thursday May 8 to Sunday May 11. This trip will be the same format as the Easter trips in the past. Paddling the Ledges and Middle sections as water levels and interest levels change. Higher water could bring other creeks into play. If the Tellico is still closed that weekend, I'll probably postpone or cancel the trip.
