OCT: Saturday, March 15, James in Richmond

We will paddle the James from Pony Pasture to 14th St, with option to take out at Reedy Creek if you do not want to run the lower section (class III-IV rapids). Upper section (Pony Pasture to Reedy Creek) has class I-II rapids. The Westham gauge of the James is predicted to be at 5.5 ft. Temp is forecast to be in the 70s; however, the water will still be chilly so dress appropriately for a swim.
This is an intermediate level trip (novice level if paddling only the upper section). We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the 14th St take-out.
