Coastals

I am scheduled to lead a James Upper OCT this Saturday. I am unable to do this trip due some medical issues. I have already contacted five of the usual folks who also lead these trips. All are unavailable for very legitimate reasons.

So I am posting for two reasons.
1. Gauge level of interest. If you would like to go please reply here.
2. Looking for a paddler with experience on this section to lead.

While I can not go on the trip I can monitor and respond to this thread. If this does not work out I will cancel the trip on Friday, 8/26 at 4pm.

I have not lead a trip before, but if there is interest I know the upper well enough to lead this section.

I will go as a sweep to the group. Old, broken down, decrepit, paddlers should not lead trips.

This is great, between the two of you anyone who joins this paddle will be in good hands. Warren is leading the trip. He requests those going on the trip to meet Saturday at 10 am in the right hand side of the Pony Pasture parking lot to set shuttle. Please respond here if you are planning on attending.

I'm checking if Warren and YOAD prefer to continue to 14th. My friend wants a longer trip with time to swim. We can change plans easily to go further west on the James separate of this trip.

It sounds like 3-4 of us are going to continue and run the lower. We will work it out Saturday morning
