OCT SEVEN ISLANDS Saturday, June 4
We'll paddle Hardware to New Canton ( also known as Seven Islands of the James River) on Sat, June 4, meeting at the boat landing in New Canton at 10:30. Let me know who's in please.

The James at Scottsville gauge has dropped 1000 cfs Wed and 1000 cfs Thur and tonight is flat at 7000cfs. At this drop rate the James is not likely to be below 5500cfs on Saturday midday which I set for my maximum. I am unlikely to join you. Any thoughts on other rivers?

The James is now 6530 and dropping. We only got ⅓" of rain last night. I think it will be pretty close to your maximum tomorrow, Ted, and I'm counting on you to be there. Dennis and possibly Richard are planning to drop boats off the put in because I told them Caroline would be there to watch boats. So I don't have a plan to switch to another river.

Pamela and I need to drop out because of our sick dog. Hope to see everyone at next week's trip.

Your water level at Scottsville at 5 pm was 5510 cfs. How did it go?
