The formal event sponsored by the Red Bank Ruritans is July 16. Shuttles, food, etc. 9600KW release for the race.

Typically there are recreational releases on Saturdays in June and July depending on lake levels. Not formal events and may be announced (or cancelled) on Friday afternoons. 7500KW adequate level. I live close and usually do each one. Can show the lines for newbies.

Hoping all the rain has filled the lakes to allow releases.

Just called Pinnacles hydro and recreational releases are not anticipated until Saturday in July pending more rain (and water in the lakes).
Rain has been sparse this spring. Subject to change if sufficient rain falls.

Recent rain has raised the lakes. A nice 9600KW release for the race Saturday July 16.
Red Bank Ruritan sponsors the event as a fund raiser. $25 entry supports the Ruritans and helps keep the event alive. Shuttles provided. Hot dogs, burgers and drinks for sale. Possible live music.
Course is 2 miles. Class 2/3. Multiple runs possible.
Water release start about 11AM.
I will be around the registration area or Silverbirch tent by 11. Available to lead folks down the course on a non competitive familiarization run.

I'll plan to be there by 11. It's been years since I paddled it so I'd like to follow you down.

Shuttles run continuously. Be glad to lead a run. There may couple more for an exploratory run.
