OCT Lower Yough 8/21/2021
So you had a good time on the Lower Yough this past weekend.
Or maybe you missed it. Here’s another chance to get on this fine river.
Lower Yough, Saturday 8/21
Meet at the Parking Lot above the tunnel (formerly known as the Grassy Knoll) 10am.
We’ll run shuttle and get on the river around 11am-ish.
Let me know if you are coming. I will get river passes for the group ($2.00 each + a
portion of the “Service Charge”) Passes will be bought around Wed 8/18.
Stay tuned for updates as times may change up until I get the passes.
I won’t be camping and don’t coordinate any of that, so talk amongst yourselves.
If there is interest about camping I can try and get an email list for those who want to
camp together. It’s been a few years since I have camped in this area.
Right now I would suggest:
Scarlett Knob https://scarlettknobcampground.com/
Benner’s http://bennersmeadowrun.com/
Ohiopyle State Park www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/Oh ... fault.aspx
If there is enough advanced interest in a run on Sunday I will coordinate that also.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
Lower Yough first timers run.
Plan on me for Saturday for sure.
I will be camping Fri and Saturday night at the state park.
I plan on taking my mountain bike and doing a section or two of the GAP trail on Friday and/or Sunday - in case anyone else is interested.
