O.C.T. Maury below Indian Pool Saturday 12 - 1

Post by bambam »

I consider this to be a friendly but class III run. It looks like we'll probably have enough water. If it drops too much then we can still likely run below the post office for a solid class II run.

The big question is the weather. A warm front is expected to pass through bringing some rain. At the moment Saturday looks like a drizzle all day at around fifty degrees. Perfect!

For planning purposes let's say meet ACROSS THE STREET FROM the post office in Rockbridge Baths at noon. Check back here on Saturday morning for confirmation though. We might move the trip to Sunday.

I'd like to hear from you if interested.

Sunday is forecast to be the warmer day albeit somewhat windier. Provided they don't fiddle with the dam we should see low-runnable all weekend. I don't expect the drizzle to amount to anything but then again my local forecast today was off by ten degrees.

Let's open it up to both Saturday and Sunday. I'm happy to paddle whatever section either or both days. If you lurkers out there wanna come along that's fine but if I don't hear from you then I can't tell you if the plan changes.

Noon ACROSS FROM THE POST OFFICE both days.

The water will of course be cold so bring yer woolies.

Cheers,

Ken

I will be parked across the street from the post office on both Saturday and Sunday at noon. Looking forward to it. I'm game for looping back up and running the pass afterwards both days. Saturday for the pass loop is slightly iffy for me depending on timing but I'm hoping we can pull that off / others will be there to join.

Thanks for coordinating.
I'm interested in paddling this Sunday. Wish there would be a bit more sun in the forecast. Open to either Indian Pools or below the post office. guess we'll see what water levels are on Sunday. ... and how cold the water is.
