OCT Savage River Release Sept 24

Here is the address of the downloadable info sheet from the organization who sponsors the release and shuttle service (that's right - there's Shuttle Service as part of your donation for the release), which should be self explanatory:
http://www.adventuresportsi.org/images/ ... se2016.pdf. You can also download your waiver form from the adventuresportssi.org website, which may save you a few minutes at the sign-in desk.
This is a class III+ run with continuous fun wave trains for a screaming descent, and can be run multiple times.
Let me know if you are planning to come. I am pretty sure I will be heading up the night before and staying at the nearby Robert W. Craig campground, which is a nice place near a lake maintained by the Corp of Engineers. If/when anyone makes their reservation, post your site number for others to gather around (or flee from, as the case may be depending on your personality and/or snoring reputation).

Looking forward to this run. Just renewed my membership. Is there other family stuff to do in the area? Wondering if it is worth bringing family up. Does Craig's Campground have web page? Is this the place?

Dear Amphibious:
You ask a lot of questions.
That is the campground. I have reserved spot # 59 for Friday night. Not sure yet if I will be able to stick around for Saturday night, due to the fact that my family is not able to come this time and I will probably head back that afternoon. But I hope others will stay, it is a fun area with lots of good stuff to do. The lake itself is a beautiful COE lake with a lot of trails.

Hi Paul - also thinking I might need to day trip.
Have space for another body/boat? No worries if you're full - just checking -and I'll drive myself and see you guys up there.

Savage - final plans

The announced time for the release is 10-2 so we want to make sure and get out there for an early start permitting multiple runs. So I propose that those at the campground be ready to leave no later than 9 and we meet any others who are not at the campground at the registration desk (at the put in) at 9:30. Don't forget your money for the required donation (I think it is $10, but you should be able to find on the Garrett College adventure sports information page). That gets you on the river and the shuttle service.
