New to Richmond..need to paddle bad!!!
Hey everyone!! So I'm new to Richmond and I'm needing someone to show me the ropes on the James and hopefully network with other paddlers for future trips. My paddle community is in North Carolina so I'm needing to meet some people. I'm a class 3 - 4 paddler.

The take out is at 14th street, the first left after passing through the floodwall if you are going south on the 14th. It looks like an alley. Any afternoon after 4pm there will be lots of people congregating and setting shuttle.
There is a group of Coastals paddling around 500pm. Also on Sunday at 1130. When I say 1130, I mean they leave the take out at 1130.

Welcome. You have come to the right place. Every Wednesday while daylight savings tome is still on coastal folks meet at the 14th street takeout to run the lower James. As John mentioned they also go regularly on Sundays too. That is a year round thing. If you don't see it posted just through something up on the forum and in sure someone will reply. Also, check the clubs event calendar. SYOTR!
