Wednesday Evening James River Paddle and Potluck

Post by kat!e »

I'd like to kayak the upper and then hop in a raft on the lower. Any experienced rafters out there want to take me down?

Potluck at my house - grilling - bring a dish to share and beverage of choice.

Amy and I are interested in running the UJ. Anybody know whether the usual Wednesday evening paddle will be on the upper or lower or both and what time?

A few of us are meeting for a lower run or two @ 5:30. Caveat: with the level approaching 11ft, an acceptable river resume and sufficient experience is required if you intend to join us.
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

Hey Bernie,

I am game to run the upper @ 5pm with you - but (as usual) don't have a car - so an no good for the shuttle. If we had another car, I could be the third boat.

Let me know - its a quick walk for me down to Reedy (15 mins)
