OCT Lower Yough Saturday 8/18
I'm coordinating a Lower Yough trip Saturday 8/18.
I bought 10 passes for noon and I believe 4 have been claimed at this point. I will post a list of people that I have passes for once I receive confirmation.
We'll meet at the grassy knoll by the parking areas and plan to leave to run shuttle at 11:15.
The Ohiopyle Falls race will be taking place that day too. By putting on around noon we should be able to catch the beginning of the race from the large pool at the put-in. You can check out what's going on at: www.fallsrace.com (Just to clarify - we are not running the falls, I'm just noting what else will be going on that day)

Count me in.
I'll be up in the area this week with the family, and have received permission from "The Boss" to sneak off to the river for a while
Anyway, put me down for a slot if you still have some.
thanks,
-Bob

I kneel before you m'lady. No really, I can't stand up. Could you please help me out of my boat?
I'll be coming and bringing a couple of paddlers to Raft with on Saturday.
We'll get our own permits since we will be inflatable.
Noon launch sounds great, we'll get to watch the people run the falls.
Good times in Ohiopyle!
Thanks Jackie for setting this up!
Bill, 10:00am for Sunday is usually a good medium time for a start. Don't have to rush to much in the morning and still get home before to late.
That's what we will plan for unless overruled..........

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

Yough weekend
Looking at the PA site for reservations, I did not see any launch passes for 10 am on Sunday......8 am is earliest and 11 am is the next time slot.
I purchased a 12 noon pass for Sat. and a 11 am pass for Sunday, just in case I get an inclination to drive to PA for the weekend.

absolutely Kirsten,
let Jackie know so she saves a Saturday pass for you,
I think for Sunday there may still be passes for 11, you would need to secure a pass for Sunday, which I believe is the time some are planning on going, you are welcome to stay at Tall Oaks campground, we have reserved some camp sites,or let Dave know if you'd like to stay at his incredible delightful ranch.

there should be plenty of room Barb, you can view the sites at www.talloakscampground.com site T69-71, I believe 74 was still available, which is next to 69-71, said it was set for 10- 15 people.

I am camping at Tall Oaks as well and have reserved site T4 which is one the nice grassy sites at the bottom of the hill near the office. I am sure there will be room for others at this site if someone needs a spot .
