New to Coastals

Post by PAC-MAN »

Hey my Name Is Joe and I am new to Coastals. I live in Virginia Beach and really want to start getting out on the water again. I've canoed my whole life(II-III+) And kayaked in highschool for 2-3 years. Picking it back up again and really want to get better and work up to doing harder rivers/creeks. New to the area so dont know any rivers here/take outs/put ins. I use to live in PA. Id like to get out this sat/sun July 21/22 if anyone would want to go. Thanks.

Hi Joe! Welcome to Virginia and Coastals. I also live in Virginia Beach and try to get out as much as my job and girlfriend allow. Richmond is the closest white water that can be had and a great group of paddlers hundreds strong but to get to the mountains it's a split between NC and PA for the summer releases. You can also get on the New River Gorge or surroundings. If you would like some more information please don't hesitate to contact me at boatriding at gmail dot com or seven57, 348-three too 37. Cheers!

Hey Joe,
I need to spend a bit more time on the water myself. There are a few of us in Ptown and we get out from time to time. Hopefully we can get a group of southsiders together for a trip. I grew up in PA as well. My old home rivers were the three L's Lackawanna, Lackawaxen, and the good old Lehigh.
Fair well and adiou to ye fair Spanish Ladies...
