Hey there,

I'm planning a trip on the Cowpasture and James in may and need to know a few things about that stretch.

1- Is the cowpasture from Williamsville to Iron Gate big enough for a mini me raft with gear at normal flow?

2- I've heard horror stories about landowners on the cowpasture not allowing paddlers on "their" section of river, please advise if it's a good idea to commit to a 4 or 5 day trip...

3- Is there anyone who has predetermined campsites on the cowpasture or upper james that they know will be safe to use?

4- Any other info about Williamsville to Snowdon would be appreciated, I've never done anything up there but Balcony.

Peace,
Charlie

camp site:
There are a couple camp grounds a few miles up river from glasgow. There is also a place beautiful place to camp just down stream from the Arcadia bridge (an easy days float from Buchanan). I've never been above Buchanan, so no ideas above there.
