Corbett's description makes the upper Calfpasture sound pretty. I've never done it either, but I have some time Monday and I'd be willing to take a chance and go look at it. The other option closer to home, the Moorman's may still be running tomorrow and I can check the gauge in the a.m.

Sorry, I'm out for the Calfpasture today. Headed up to the North River Gorge this a.m.

Have fun!

If nothing happens today, anytime tomorrow would be good. Let's get in the river!

To Regina. - When were you at the North River Gorge? I ended up going there on Monday also and paddled from North River Campground to the Girls Scouts Camp. It was a fun run. -Quentin

I'm so glad you had a chance to run the North river. It is so pristine and such a sweet stream. We were there from around 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and had time constraints, so we could not do an afternoon run.

You can thank my friend, John, and a couple of others for hiking the streambed last summer and clearing out many strainers with a chainsaw. Apparently it was pretty full of wood in difficult spots.
