Fall Gathering Oct 11--please RSVP

Please RSVP here or on the Coastals Facebook group for the Fall Gathering Sat Oct 11.
The paddle will be on the South Fork of the Shenandoah.
After the paddle, come to the Grove Hill Community Center on US 340, 3 miles north of Shenandoah VA where there’s lots of room both inside and outside to relax & socialize.
You’ll receive a brand new Coastals 60th anniversary sticker, designed by Hobby Parent and ordered by Martha James.
Dinner is 6 PM-ish. Coastals is providing pork barbecue, chicken barbecue, mac & cheese and cole slaw. We’d welcome additional side dishes and desserts to round out the meal. Further details are in the fall issue of CaNews. Hope to see you there!

I posted on the Facebook page as well. I plan to attend, aluminum on the roof rack, and with TLQA, The Lovely Queen Alicia, in the bow.

No surprise, the river will be low. We've done worse though. The gauge near Luray is actually between the bridges at our takeout, well upstream of Luray. It is showing daily fluctuations presumably due to power generation at the dam just a bit upstream of our put in at Newport. 275 cfs to 450 cfs. It's hard to say how long it takes these bubbles to reach the gauge but I think we won't be on the 275 end of things.
