FROM USACE: This is a follow up to the previous message regarding the April 12th and 13th whitewater release from Jennings Randolph. While the recent rain has provided added inflow, allowing the lake to rise, the lake elevation is still behind schedule for this time of year. In addition, a return to low flow conditions is also anticipated. As a result, unfortunately this first whitewater release is being cancelled.
The next whitewater release from Jennings Randolph Lake is scheduled for April 26th and 27th. The full 2025 release schedule for Jennings Randolph and Savage River is posted at https://www.nab-wc.usace.army.mil/nab/northBranch.html. This page also includes three-day projections for release rates for Jennings Randolph Lake and Savage River Dam. Scroll down to find the recreational release schedule.
