Slip Fest 2025! I had been planning to attend this event before I knew the Coastals Gathering was this weekend and also before I was invited to attend a work conference. I’ve chosen to attend the work conference so I won’t be able to make this trip. However, if anyone out there is interested you can still attend this fest!
Slip Fest is an event located in western Pennsylvania put on by a bunch of my friends from the Keelhaulers Canoe Club. The Slippery Rock Creek (aka the Slip) has an upper class II-III section (easier than the Lower Yough) and a lower class II section. There is a race on the lower Slip on Saturday and lots of trips on all sections throughout the weekend. Camping and festivities are at Breakneck Campground 5min from the upper takeout/lower put-in.

I hope at some point I can schedule another trip on the Slip. It is one of my favorite rivers with lots of play, fun eddy catching, and attainment moves.
