OCT Sat. Aug. 10 James River-Annual Seven Islands Float Trip
Ted and Caroline with a grandchild are leading this trip. Children are welcome.
This is my annual lazy, hazy days of summer float trip. You know, where you float and use the paddle more as a rudder. Water level is slightly above the average level for the date which is a good level.
I want to minimize the time and effort needed to transfer boats. If you come from the west first go to the putin at the Hardware WMA, drop boats and gear. Caroline will be there to watch your stuff. Then proceed to the take out at New Canton to leave your vehicle at 10:30. Trip time to putin is at least 20 minutes.
It would be an even greater help for logistics if my east boater friends went to the putin first and joined us at New Canton at 10:30. We would leave as many cars as practical and shuttle drivers.
Contact me if you are coming: tedmcgarry@juno.com or 804-218-1238
