I would like to join but haven't paddled in a couple of years and have never been on the James. But I've been wanting to get back into it! Is that ok or would a different trip be better?
thanks,
-Priscilla
Good morning Priscilla, a few questions to better hep you.
- Where have you paddled?
- What kind of boat do you have, do you have a skirt?
I can tell you this is a whitewater run with class I and II rapids. The level is foretasted to be at a good level- not to high and pushy yet plenty of water for an easier float. You will need to have enough boat control to avoid rocks and line up for the chutes through the rapids.
Hope this helps.

Thanks JJ! I have a whitewater boat and skirt and have paddled up to III+ in California, it's just been a few years. I think I still have the roll, but will need to check It sounds like this would be a good run to re-start on.
Priscilla
Priscilla, you are overqualified- LOL. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Please note that I run these trips to leave Reedy at 1030am to set shuttle. So best to be at Reedy 10 minutes or so before 1030am to rearrange boats and consolidate gear.

We have a dozen paddlers for today. We will be going from Meadows to Reedy which is about 3 miles and takes 3 to 4 hours. We will stop about half way for a lunch break and swim.
Please arrive at Reedy by 10:20 as we will set shuttle and push off at 10:30.
