To get permits for the Lower Yough:
http://pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveam ... Results.do
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

Gromit and I will be there. Plan to hit the road early Friday, set up camp then paddle Friday afternoon.

CHEAT FEST!

Post by JohnB »

I plan to join y'all for the Cheat Fest, etc. I'd like to paddle Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (but not the race). If canyon levels are below 13' or so, that's my first choice. However, I'll paddle anything III/IV. I'm especially interested in finding some Friday daytime action. I'll be at the campground in Bruceton Mills Thursday night. I can be reached at jd(dot)black2(at)ymail.com

I'm planning on running the UY Friday. Deviation from this plan is rain dependent.
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

I am planning to arrive Friday afternoon and return Sunday.

I'd like to paddle Saturday and Sunday. Maybe get in on a LY trip. Other(s) TBD.

Question: Does anyone have room for a Karma (L) on their rack? I will bring it to you. I'm driving a rental car and will not be able to carry my boat.

If so, please message me? I would be very grateful :)
