good update
Thanks for the pass update. If you are on the fence, now is the time to get your permit! If 10am are sold out, you can get a 9am (preffered) or 11am and still join us.

Yes. Shouldn't be a problem.SteveK wrote:Ok, we've decided we'll paddle on Sunday too! Question for the Yough veterans. On the state park website there is only 1 access pass left for the Sunday 9AM slot. We need 2. Do we just buy an 8AM or 10AM pass and its not a big deal to sneak in with the 9AM group?
I'd go with the 10am though. Better to be early than to look like your late.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
Gromit and I are trying to make this happen. Looks good so far, but my benevolent employer could have last minute plans for me. We'll have our own permits and plan to camp at Tall Oaks. We hope to see yous there.

Looks like we will be having a lot of fun this week end!! Looking forward to seeing ya'll there.
The camp sites we reserved are fairly large, plenty of room to share, firewood is for sale at the store on premise, Tom is bringing 2 cooktops, gas, hot h2o station and kitchen box w/ pots, pans etc, and a tarp. one more tarp might be nice, if you have one. Weather is looking to be cool 50's in the evening, mid 70's partly cloudy during the day, definitely bring some warm clothing, for on and off the river.
If you are not camping with us and for general knowledge we'll be meeting at the grassy knoll on Sat. in Ohiopyle at 930 hoping to leave at 945 to set shuttle

Can't go now
will try in Sept or Oct. I had a pass reserved for Sat and Sunday. Also have a camp spot reserved (No. 21) if someone wants it.

Ken & I are coming for Sunday - we got 10am permits, per Wade's earlier suggestion. What time will you all meet on the knoll on Sunday (since we won't be camping)?

I've purchased two 10AM Saturday passes that will now be extras for any that still need them. We will be paddling in a playboat class with Dave Kessmann on Saturday morning and will probably not need them. For Sunday I will paddle with the 9AM group, but have an extra 10AM pass.
Since I've not been to the Yough I am not sure how redeeming these passes, which I purchased by credit card online, works. Also the logistics of where the playboat class meets versus the Saturday 10AM group. I'm only out a couple of bucks if they get wasted but wanted to offer to any potential paddlers who still need a pass.
Send me a private message if you want to claim any of these extra passes.
