Why Are We Not In West Virginia Now?
Every spring, there are 1 or 2 perfect weeks of whitewater in West Virginia, when it rains early in the week, river levels hold up all week, and there is warm weather. This is one of those weeks.
The gages are spiking after the last 24 hours of rain, and the creeks are rolling. For example, the Cheat tribs (Laurel Fork, Red Creek, Dry Fork, Shavers Fork, etc.) and Potomac tribs all have water, and in the south, all the creeks are running as well. It is time to go!
It's time use those vacation days/sick days. I am availble to leave/paddle as early as Wednesday, but I am willing to go anytime thereafter as soon as you can join me. Please email me at Grvrassoc@aol.com, or call me at 703.730.5660
Regards!

Correction - Why Are We Not In West Virginia Now?
My correct telephone number is 703.830.5660
Totally agree
This is often a sweet time to be paddling in WV. Water and warmer temps.
I paddled the S. Fork of S. Br. Potomac with you last year on 5/21.
WV seems to be my preferred destination these days for Class 2+ to 3+ (maybe Low 4)
WVWA has a nice feature where the rivers running in WV and nearby states are sorted out so it is easy to see what us running.
For WV it is: (as you no doubt know)
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... ver+Search
Wednesday is a possible day for me, maybe Thursday but not Friday. I think I am heading up to the North Branch release on Saturday although I would prefer a WV river instead. Just doubt much will be running in WV by then as I think the rain is coming to an end for now thru the weekend.
If you get a few paddlers together to run something in the solid to strong intermediate range (Cherry, Williams (if not too high), Potomac tribs, etc., please post. I may be able to swing a day trip depending on work and home.

Post on WVWA board?
You may want to post on WVWA board as well as I have talked with a few people on WVWA board with similar desires as far as paddling some of the same trib's as you mentioned.
Not sure anyone can get away but seems like someone is always looking to paddle at WVWA.
