Don Bowman

Post by Grvrassoc@aol.com »

With the arrival of paddling season, I was catching up on reading our Coastal's website.

I noticed in a January 16th posting on this forum, the follwing statement was made: "NOW IS THE TIME FOR A PADDLING REUNION. Some of us have passed such as Les Fry, Don Bowman, Gil Lipton and Gene Derryberry to name a few." I scanned subsequent postings, and saw no further update.

I am pleased to advise club members that Don Bowman has NOT passed on, and now in his late 80s, is still paddling his Shredder. We hope to get him up on the North Branch Bloomington during one of the releases this spring.

I do like the sound of a Paddling Reunion.

Regards!

Hi Maurice - If you haven't seen it already, take a look at the article Barb wrote in the just published Spring CaNEWS about a Coastals Homecoming at the fall gathering on the Shenandoah later this year. The wheels are being put into motion on this one. If you don't have the newsletter, you can also find it online at the bottom of this page:
