Appomattox on Sat?
So far, the App gauge near Petersburg is still low, but is slowly rising. Upstream gauges have shot straight up. I'm wondering if the bubble from the rain will be in Petersburg by Sat morning. Anyone interested in paddling the App if it is? Based on Maury gauge, I'm not sure Rockbridge Baths will still be running on Sat.
we were just talking about the appomattox tonite, I would like to catch it when its up, it has been a while since my boat has floated that river. Its a great float, and has some decent play spots at the right flow. It is the river I learned to kayak on, a great river for that purpose, and it saves the best rapids for last. It would be cool to get an Appomattox run in the morning and hit up the James in the afternoon while it still has water.

App
I ran the app today with a few friends, we did 2 laps on the upper part (buckmans dam to ferndale park) there weren't any strainers or anything to worry about. We plan on running again this weekend and going all the way down. I would love to run it with yall just let me know what time to meet up. The app was also where I learned to kayak its a great river, I love bringing it back to the roots. Keep me posted it should be running good sat morning. SYOTR!

sounds like a plan if 9 am is not too early for Jenny...???? Let us know, we could push it back to 10 if you need more time to travel from Cary NC, after all it was her thread that started the whole thing
