UJ afternoon paddle this Wed.

Post by Rockdoc »

Paddling buddy and I will be in Richmond for the Virginia Junior Academy of Science this Wed. We want to sneak out after judging and get a late afternoon paddle on the upper. Anyone interested in setting up shuttle?

I was planning on paddling the UJ on Wednesday after work with a friend. What time are you planning on paddling?

We were planning to hit PP around 4:30 or 5:00. We figure to be done with VJAS by then. It is being held at the U of Richmond so we will be right there near the put in. Hopefully we can get shuttle set and get a chance to flush down the river. Looks like the river is at 7 feet right now...would be good if it came down a little.

Cool, We should be there as close to 5 as possible. Judging is supposed to end at 4:30. Boats on top of car and a 5 minute run to Reedy Creek to set up shuttle. We may be in a blue Sub Outback (not sure if I am taking the yellow Diesel or purple Torrent). Look forward to seeing you guys.

Good to keep in mind. May may the lower sometime. First trip this year and need to warm up. It has been a long winter. Usually have quite a few trips under my belt by this time. Darn master's class eating me alive.

My Sister in Law graduated from CU and they are great CU fans. Consequently my closet is filled with CU stuff. Jackets, hats, fleece you name it. Think I even have head covers from CU on a set of clubs.

She lives in Louiseville. We visit every couple of years. Great place. Gotta love the independent republic of Boulder.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to bow out, the judging went longer than expected. Have to take a rain check. Too late to meet up after the conference.
